I don't mind deductions for slow over rate. Without them there'd be loads of instances where the rain has interfered and the bowling side faffs about slowing everything down to stop the batting side from completing their win. It's up to captains to keep up to date with the over rate... it's on the scoreboard, after all, so there's no excuses imo. I understand that there will be times when a couple of quicks are building pressure or taking wickets and the capt doesn't want to change them, but there's loads of flexibility there, it isn't as if teams are still expected to bowl 105 overs in a day. No DRS in county cricket to slow things down further either.
When watching the live feed there were often few signs of urgency when we were bowling. Lots of field changes, lots of discussions between bowler and capt. In one game Borthwick had to bowl a fair few overs just to catch up, because we were -3 or -4 on the over rate at one point
