I enjoyed watching Parky bowl today. He doesn't fire it in like a lot of spin bowlers, but gives it plenty of air and every chance to turn and bounce . He beat the bat a number of times today without any luck. Rattles through his overs too. We should never get caught out with deductions for slow over rates with him bowling

Maybe, although on TMS the other day, Vic Marks commented that Taunton hasn't been a real turning pitch for a few years - probably because they kept getting docked points for daring to produce turning wickets! Brilliant performance in this game, and great second innings from Hogg - well played lads!

fair comment, KO, although I would make the distinction between a pitch that over the course of a game gradually deteriorates and takes turn, and a raging bunsen that starts to break up by lunch on day 1, which is what they were continually preparing

I wonder if we'll see Wagner again? In the recent past we've been very quick to replace OS players

One of the many things I don't understand is this South Africa A series starting at the weekend- Bedingham is playing in that series but Kyle Verrreynne - who was initially named as captain - has been replaced in the squad because he has signed a short term deal with Notts!
