I didn't have an issue with either Borthwick or Jennings leaving. Both left after much soul searching to further their careers not, I'm sure for financial gain. Not so sure about having Jennings back though after watching him bat this week :joydance

I don't know. He's probably the right age to be a son of one but a pretty common surname so might be no connection.
,
Yeh but not that many with a cricket connection. There was also a Pratt family at Philadelphia where Geoff Cook now coaches.

Yeah. Chances are there's a link with one of those two cricketing families.

Just copied this from Rtg site.

"No he is not.
His father played cricket for Murton and Seaham Park.
Jake has played all of his cricket for Eppleton."
Poster is Badger55 who I suspect may be Badger's dad.

Let's hope we see Jake continuing to progress.

Jack Campbell in squad and Carse and Weighell omitted so looks as if Campbell will play.

Yep. Poynter and Pringle to miss out? Unless the heatwave means the pitch is for spinners...although even if it is I might play the seamer!

Salisbury appears to have gone awol.Carse was pretty innocuous at Sedburgh and I'm not surprised he's been dropped. Campbell is left arm which gives us another option but I'm surprised he's leapt ahead of others. Unless there's a spate of injuries.

A spate of injuries sounds right. So many injury prone bowlers!

Looked at Campbell's 2nd XI stats and there's no way that he's presented a case for promotion. Expect Harte will be 4th seamer ,plus Burnham, with Pringle(or Poytner) in to strengthen? the batting.

Yeah. If Campbell is just there because everyone else is not available then it probably is better playing the extra batsman.
C Steel must still not be in the frame for a recall.

Campbell is playing and we have had a toss, won it and are batting first.
