Bancroft going up to open seems to have led to a change although I think he was always likely to turn around his poor start to the 4 day campaign. Lees and Eckersley are very good too.

Not to mention Rushy and Raine but Durham will never turn things around longterm until they improve the quality of Riverside pitches.

Yes. Those pitches and the uncontested toss rule are a recipe for trouble. It's an advantage playing away from home!

Last 3 games against the Foxes have been bizarre - Hurricane Abbas causing carnage either side of us winning after following on and winning after getting skittled for under 120 in the first innings.

Yes! Turned out to be good timing. I see there's a tweet announcing D'arcy Short has arrived so he might be at the forum.
And will they announce a captain and coach? No real urgency I suppose given that the Blast doesn't start until next week!

The Cricketer preview lists Franklin as Coach and Bancroft as captain and so be it. Last season at last we seemed to have an effective game plan so let's keep it.
Cricketer lists the likely team as
Bancroft
Short
Lee's
Clark
Burnham
Harte
Weighell
Raine
Trevaskis
Carse
Rimmington.
I'd amend that to replace Weighell and Carse with S Steel and Whitehead.

Yeah. Extra spinner very handy. So it seems as if they have abandoned the idea of splitting the coaching duties. That explains why there's been no announcement. No doubt all will be made clear at the forum!

I'd have Scott Steel in the T20 side too, mostly to have another look at him, but I suspect he may be a bit too slow and steady for T20
