Mitch Claydon has applied the brakes for Kent. 0-8 off 2 overs in a high scoring affair like that against Aaron Finch. well done so far

I always find myself thinking that if a good side can make such a hash of their innings, then we can always find a way to do worse

I shouldn't

I should have faith, but there is nothing in the history books or the stat sheets for me to take comfort from..... all I can ever find is carnage and incompetence

It's hard to be positive, but I'm trying

Baby steps. Going from zero to hero in one season is a tough ask. You appear (at least for now) to have got the bowling cracked; if the batting does let you down here and there (ie against Yorkshire), then so be it.

It looked incredibly hard for Worcs. Struggled to time the ball and it's a slow wicket. Big shots seem very high risk here. Danger might be getting caught between trying to dominate in the power play and trying to accumulate.
Surely though failing to chase this would be inexcusable. And yet there's always a feeling we might fall apart!

If we win this, then we'll have already won as many matches as I was expecting across the entire competition
