Be interesting tomorrow which will indicate whether it's a dodgy wicket or dodgy batting that led to 152-6.

Yes, should be interesting. According to The Times. Carse should be back soon.

students are 69-7, so hopefully we should be getting another bat after tea.

unless we still enjoy giving away lower order 50 partnerships, of course

Couldn't have gone much better today, hopefully the batters who missed out in the first innings get some runs tomorrow.
The game against Yorkshire next week should obviously be more of a meaningful warm-up match - hopefully it won't rain!

struggling to understand what we are doing today. Not a FC match, so why go looking for the win.... Bedders and Mr Ned could both use some bat time, so why not let them have some? There would have still been time to let the bowlers have a few more overs each

Students are already 4 down, so this could be over by tea. It's not like they've been playing a lot of cricket lately and could do with an early finish

Yes, I was surprised by the early declaration. Assumed we'd want to give the batsmen who missed out in the first innings anorher chance. The result doesn't matter. Think there are still about 40 overs left!

so after what feels like a long spell of warm weather with uninterrupted sunshine, the weather is closing in.... cooler, overcast, a bit drizzly

almost as if something was happening today that hasn't happened for a long time, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is :no

same weather tomorrow

sleet on Wednesday

I hope we bought in a good supply of hand warmers for the players

At the Riverside, it is dull and overcast- and presumably has been since play began - so conditions are bowler friendly...Yorkshire 129/1 in the 41st over!
