Somerset have wanted Smeed to play red ball cricket for ages, he finally gives it a go, plunges 350 runs in the space of 48 hours and before his ongoing mammoth knock even came to an end he was being fast tracked into the game for a guy with a crap FC average?

Yorkshire replaced a genuine tailender bowler with an all rounder with 3 county hundreds, I am sorry but that is not like for like is it? With the BBC forecasting rain from now till the evening, and Yorkshire 7 down and nowhere near Hampshire's target, what happens this evening if Yorkshire end up 8-9 down at the end for the draw with Logan Van Beek hanging on playing a part in the draw?

Going to be some serious questions, isnt there? I'd be furious as a Hampshire fan if Yorkshire get away with a draw subbing in a clearly superior batsman into the lower order.
