Doesn't say if he bowled any medium pace and fielded at short leg.

recently picked up a hairy blob in his comeback match for Knowle & Dorridge CC in the Birmingham and District Premier League.

Bell, a veteran of 118 Tests, 161 one-dayers and eight T20 internationals for England, was caught behind off Richard Jones, a former Bears team-mate and now a coach with Warwickshire, as Knowle and Dorridge were bowled out for 165.

And Berkswell reached 166-3 in 37.5 overs in reply to win by seven wickets.

It's a cruel game!

Hahmeed released by Lancashire. Would be great to have him at Durham- worked for Alex Lees.
Have a feeling plenty of counties will be interested in him though. Still only 22.

Hasn't done too bad in the CC this year - av 28.7, identical to a certain Jennings. Suspect his release is as much to do with his deteriorating relationship with management. Don't think there'll be a rush of clubs to sign him but certainly worth a trial period. We've actually got a couple on 2nd team games remaining.
Wonder what's happening with Onions. Could also give him a trial I suppose :hide

Indeed! Think you're right about a relationship breakdown. Allot's harsh criticism in pre-season was very revealing.

Interesting move. He's the sort of player who I wouldn't have minded coming here!

Not for me. Rumour is that he'll displace Sean Dickson. I'd take a punt on him.

I do hope Hameed doesn't just disappear now... Really liked what I saw of him on Test debut ...good technique , good temperament . Then that wretched injury and it all fell apart...

Perhaps a change of scenery will enable him to come back ? Surely that ability cannot just vanish. As you say , he's still young enough.

Yeah, chances must be that a change will do him the world of good. Showed signs this year that the ability is there so hopefully he'll be Ok. If he moves and has a good start next year then a miraculous comeback might be on the cards given the appalling state of England's top order batting.

Cricinfo report mentions Lees having " moderate success" at Durham. Surely he's done a bit better than that!

Peter Trego is leaving Somerset after they opted not to renew his contract. 38 years old and was only on a white ball deal this year but he's not retiring and I think he could do a good job for another county.
