Twice, as we were clawing the game back, Wilmington was brought back into the attack and handed the initiative to Lancs. He bowled absolute dross and has to be replaced.Also surely Harte or Richardson are better batsmen than Davies?

Yes. And I thought one day cricket, and T20 in particular, was supposed to be his forte- Salisbury would be a better option. I also can't understand the refusal to play Harte or Richardson.

BBC live thread has highlights of most of the wickets, which I've now seen..... excellent work in the field, good catches, smart throwing

not the final over though, which is a bit of a bummer, but hopefully it'll appear later

I've seen the final over now, courtesy of the BBC. Lancs just lost their heads in that last over... kept trying to win it off one ball instead of just working the ball around for an easy win. 2 holed out in the deep and one went on the charge and got stumped. Sharp work from Poynter, there

Yeah. I watched it too. Looked as if the panic set in after the dot to start and then they resorted to slogging. Not wise on that big ground.
Not going to make the game tonight- let's hope they can keep up the good work.

For an experienced bowler he seems incredibly erratic- if he's playing I don't know why we don't either play another batsman or bowler instead of Davies. Rimmington is a more than useful batsman down the order.

struggling to post a big total again, but Smudger has gone now, so we are relying on Poynter, Weighell and Davies to pump the sixes late on
