Leicestershire are like Ireland in some ways, losing their best talent to the opposition.

Difficult to create a competitive team when their best players either retire or move on, only to be predominantly replaced by those from within. Leicestershire need at least two proven batsmen in the domestic game and two bowlers, just to help their relatively young and inexperienced players develop as cricketers.

Murray Goodwins available, isn't he ??

Gary Breese available!!

Murray Goodwin has retired

Looking at the in's and out's Leicestershire could recruit rather savvily and potentially compete next season

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/29110601

Batsmen: Stewart Walters, Matthew Spriegel, Stephen Peters, Kyle Coetzer,
Bowlers: Tom Craddock, Gareth Breese, Ruel Brathwaite, Saj Mahmood, Mike Reed,
Keeepers: Michael Bates, Geriant Jones, David Murphy
All Rounders: Andrew Hall, James Middlebrook

Things can only better if this guy becomes head coach or director of cricket

Need cash though. Would expect that all other 17 counties can offer higher wages than Leics, so they'll be getting the leftovers rather than leading the chases.

Money won't be much an issue with the current exodus freeing up wages, most of the signings listed would do well to find a new club and stay there for a decent amount of time.

Andreas Agathangelou, supposedly the first Cypriot to play FC cricket. Long on promise, short on delivery. Will be the first of a fair few making way.

Available to sign if not to play. Been out for a year with injury. From their statement, it sounds like Middlesex will resign him if he can prove his fitness in the new year.

So Leics have got rid of DoC role, meaning Phil W has no role?
