Every match has been abandoned now apart from at Kent - and that one is a delayed start. Going by the tweets from the club it might be only a matter of time before it gets called off!

all off

23 out of a possible 93 matches have been abandoned without a result. Hey... it's the great British summer, so lots of matches get rain affected, not sure there has ever been as many completely wiped out

24.7% according to my calculator

First day an entire round of games has been lost. According to Martin Emmerson the previous record was 6/8 in 2015.

Probably our worst ever t20 defeat-from-the-jaws-of-victory was when we needed 12 runs to win, with four overs and six wickets left. Razzaq seemingly decided he'd finish the match quickly, by hitting two sixes so that we could go all go home early off the back of an easy win.

He got caught on the boundary, and the remaining 3.5 overs were nothing like I have ever seen before or since.

Moral of the story though? We went onto squeeze through to the QFs, and ultimately win the competition. And the team who we threw away that group stage match to? We beat them in the final.

Wow. That must have been a scarcely unbelievable defeat. I
like the happy ending though! Trouble with this Durham T20 side is the batting after the openers has been awful throughout so Friday night wasn't a total fluke - while I'm pretty sure we wouldn't lose again from that position I'm equally sure we will lose alnost every game if the middle order is under any pressure at all unless Handscomb plays a lone hand. Poynter seems to be a non-playing captain!

Robson and Cameron - but not Scott - Steel in the squad for tomorrow.
Any theories on how they put these names in order?!
Lees, Rushworth, Harte, C Steel, Handscomb, Eckersley (*+), Carse, Rimmington, Raine, Burnham, Trevaskis, Robson, Potts

Potts and Steel miss out?

Lees, Robson, Harte, Handscomb, Burnham, Trevaskis, Eckersley, Raine, Rimmington, Carse, Rushworth?

I think we'll go Carse rather than Potts for his pace. Robson is just a hunch

Abbas has had a poor season, so doubtless we'll make him look like the most in-form bowler on the planet

Yep. He'll probably bowl us out in the first session.

Yes,I'd agree with your starting XI D.F. Worrying, however, If we're correct which means we think along the same lines as Durham management.Anyone recommend a good psychotherapist?
With Robson given a contract until the end of the season, he surely has to be given a run in the 1st team.Oh,hang on..

That leads to an interesting predicament for a bowler when IDB is umpiring and batsman Cosgrove are both standing at the bowling end.

:lmao Indeed!
100 up just now. A near miracle to get there with 9 wickets intact. A collapse though is often just a wicket away!
