I had Trent Bridge booked months ago. Sat in the hotel room wondering if it would be worth going..... Durham are the domestic version of Pakistan...you never know which one is going to turn up.
Glad I did go, Trent Bridge is always good value, it was a lovely evening and Durham were well worth watching and managed to bowl them out with overs to spare. A shame that they didn't play like that more often.
Having seen yet another good performance from Rimmington I'd keep him but only for short stuff and to fill in when the other seamers are injured/ trying to get back into form..Weighell can play better, this year has not been his year. Lees was runnng the drinks. I hope they put Harte back in the CC side, we missed his bowling in that last match, Robson has never taken a wicket.
It's been a while.....
One day I'll post something new - when my computer lets me!!!!!! Or even update the site it's rather out of date now isn't it. http://planetdurham.wordpress.com/ ...yer actual Lion hunting bloke of the wide open African plains sees bowling as a natural progression from spear throwing. Yesssss!

Glad you got to see a good win! Agree about Rimmington and Harte started the season as one of the few success stories from last year, think there's something about him worth trying to develop.

The fact that Scott Steel has been playing in both T20s v Scotland this week, the only senior player to do so, suggests he's not being considered for the final 3 CC fixtures. Together with the fact that there's been no mention of a new contract leads me to suspect he'll be the next mercenary to desert us.

Development according to the yearbook that's a step above Academy, I believe. I Know he was promoted to training with the 1st team squad last winter.

According to that same year book we're down to 11 players on full time contracts come September and that includes Clark and Weighell.
Minimum salary cap rises from £750k to £1.5m so we've got ample leeway. With all respect to Angus Robson, we're hopefully shopping in a much higher market.

Yes. Think he might be a decent player and might be worth a squad place but he's highly unlikely to be a prolific run scorer.

it seems that I have wednesday off the week we host Glamorgan, so I'll be able to go for one last time this season.... assuming we make it to Wednesday (likely) and it doesn't rain (less likely)

That must be the reason. I too thought it started tomorrow but hadn't factored in the T20 QF's.

they'll be able to have a reserve week for each QF next year, since the domestic season won't be scheduled to finish until December
