an extra advantage of staying in div 2 is that it will give us all the opportunity to spend 3 or 4 days throwing dog sh1t at Paul Coughlin

Two early wickets and still 150 more runs needed. Break the Robson/Malan partnership early and we might take the upper hand.

Malan gone to Raine. 45/3. Robson and Holden have been a thorn in our side before.

Big wicket, Malan out. Huge stride towards another win for Durham.

Unless the lack of a spinner becomes a problem with an older ball if the sky clears.

Yep. Middlesex can be patient - once the ball gets older the seamers will be less effective and there are no other options l
Need to get Robson out quickly - just 125 needed now.

Holden out. Need Robson soon or this may slip away.

Yep. Essential to get him out straight after lunch and probably also need a spell where 2 or 3 go in quick succession. Just 90 more required to win. Although if Durham were in this position my money would be on the bowling side but it's a game Middlesex should win from here.

Robson gone straight after lunch but Middlesex have strength in depth. Need another couple quickly with so few runs to defend. The 40 or so added by the last two wickets in their first innings could be crucial.

well we got Robson as required. Middle need 85

unless batting is tricky, Middlesex must be favourites with no spin to worry about

Yep. Probably attach the blame to the batsmen if we lose- two half century opening partnerships followed by two hopeless collapses but the bowlers really should learn how to polish off a tail.

Leicester are busy falling apart against Northants. 4 down and still haven't quite got themselves a lead yet

Runaway leaders Lancashire are in cruise control against Derbyshire

Glamorgan are miles behind a Worcester side with Moeen in it

Gloucestershire have got their work cut out against Sussex

could be 6 teams chasing 2 promotion spots going into the last 2 rounds with not a lot between them, and we could end up in the bottom 3 rather than the top 3 we looked like being in on day 4 of the Leics match
