new ball key?

A bit of luck either way helps. Libby has edged a couple and got away with it, and one just hit the deck and went like a hand grenade past D'Olivera, but it somehow missed everything

Warks always baffle me. Who on earth waits to reach 665 before declaring? All they did was invite Surrey to drop anchor for 2 days and if any team has players that are very happy to try and bat time it's Surrey.

Waiting for 665 is just saying that they are happy to try and only bat once, which is a lot of time in the field, in the sun and in the heat. Hard for the bowlers who have to come back on Friday having spent 2 days flogging themselves into the ground and completely boring for their audience

Big moment for Tom Clark, he gets one to come into BD'O and that tips the scales back to Sussex

Tom Clark takes an stunner at second slip to get Libby finally. Was a bit wide to drive at, but I guess Libby was concerned after a wicket that he was running out of partners....

Well played :clap

These automatic concussion protocols are pretty stupid sometimes. Singh goes to whack it, top edges onto his own helmet, but its a light glancing blow. Not even a remote possibility of injury or concussion, but we have to go through a 5 minute check and change of helmet.

I get if a player gets a significant blow or is visually rocked, the umpire should call a timeout for a check, but any touch of the helmet if completely unnecessary

Victory!! Considering we had to drag a Notts player out of bed on loan hours before the game to make 11 players, a great result.

Although we badly need some bowlers to get fit. One injury away from academy players stepping in.

Yorkshire might still win. But a draw won't make that declaration look very clever.

9 down......

still, you can't blame Johnny for putting personal runs ahead of a team win

good win for Sussex. New ball did the trick in the end

The obligatory snooze fest at Edgbaston. What a rubbish game of cricket that must have been

Well done to Essex for hanging on.

Yorkshire have made a habit of fluffing nailed on wins in recent times.

Very green deck at the oval today Surrey chose to bowl first ..but it's clear skies today so if Yorkshire can get through the early stages then there's a chance for big runs today
