It can't have been down to the pitch, because we won the toss and chose to bat and looking at the scores that was the correct call

Yes, 5 wickets in 8 overs following a solid start. Seems almost unbelievable!

Hopefully this rain delay will be a long one. I suppose positive thinking would be if it stops there's a chance for these 2 to get much needed runs but....

Something inevitable about that dismissal . He's having another tough time of it but I'd stick with him for now - time is running out though, he needs a score in the next couple of games.
If Stokes and Carse are available , one will presumably come in for Salisbury but who else would make way ?

The big question is whether Stokes will be allowed to bowl; if not then it's a batsman who'll have to make way which logically should be Borthwick. I think Carse needs a longer bowling spell for the 2nds,tomorrow at Derby, before he'll be considered for the 1st team.

Yes, that's the question and if he is bowling there'll probably be an instruction to limit his overs.

He seems to be taking longer than expected in terms of a first team return, I'm sure a couple of season previews suggested he was almost ready. I suppose given his injury history it's better to take a cautious approach.
