So naturally he has taken a wicket. Ackerman caught behind for 36 and that signals tea. 203-3 so already enough for a good first innings lead.

Going to head home. This bowling attack really seems lacklustre. No pace and they bowl far too many loose deliveries. Bowling has been an issue for a few seasons now and why they thought swapping Onions for Rimmington would solve any problems is another one of life's mysteries.

301/4 at the close from a team that must have one of , if not the worst , FC records in recent times. A poor decision to put them in but he can't have predicted such a woeful bowling display. I suppose judgement will have to be reserved until both sides have batted but it surely has all the makings of another fiasco.

The failure to strengthen the bowling during the close season is an indication of the lack of direction within the club. The fact that the club captain and chairman have been absent from the club throughout the winter is a further indication of their indifference to addressing fundamental problems. I really worry about the future of DCCC.

Yep. Poor planning- they must have left all of that to Lewis!

Both overnight batsmen dismissed but the 350 is up and that includes 27 extras!

There's a reason why Will Smith didn't feature for us last season.

It certainly wasn't due to injury or off-field issues.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

Yep. Useful experience and I like him but - with the exception of a couple of seasons - not one noted for really heavy run scoring. And this is a dreadful lineup. Top 3 are gone in a flash and the middle order helpless against the new ball.
Colly gone now 14-4!

They're making Raine and Aaron ( neither of whom made any impact whatsoever at Durham ) look like Lillee and Thomson!

Don't think Stephen Cook has been spotted since we destroyed his career!
