I don't mind that. When Hants take as long as they did to score 500, the best way to lose would have been to go charging after fast runs. I'm pleased that we aren't a one trick batting pony

I agree. Would have been very foolish to come out all guns blazing.
A couple of early wickets for Potts.

I've just realised that, after the two early wickets, Hants sent in a lunch watchman

don't see that every day

Apparently there have already been a couple of ball changes and one was switched after a single delivery.
Hants commentators were saying that Organ started last year as an opener but could barely muster a run and was dropped.

21 overs to score 34 runs

the Hanty faithful must be gripping the edge of their seats

they could just have well have filled their boots and tried to go along at 6 an over. If they had done, they'd have had a 200 run lead by now. Another 15 overs for a 300 lead, declare and try to pull off an amazing win.... instead, lets send everyone to sleep

I'm wondering if the 2 quick wickets spooked them and they let natural timidity take over

we seem to be protecting Raine and Siddle, which rather makes me think that Potts will sit Blackpool out to let Stokes come in

Bad light, rain and an early tea. Probably only a matter of time until it gets called off.

Not one of the more exiting games. Could have done with a few more points but we never looked like losing.

No,Organ is a recognised batsman replacing Gubbins who’s left the game as his wife is giving birth.

Good typo. Sort of game where you wanted to exit

the cricketer magazine says that Stokes is 'pencilled in' to play against Somerset as well as Lancs

Campbell says he's told that Robbo and Clarky may have to drop down a spot to accommodate him when all the England clearances come through

They must be confident he can play a full role with the ball. I think I'd have had him in for Clark.

Turns out he's in for Siddle and Coggers is in for Carse.... or Stokes is in for Carse and Coggers is in for Siddle

It seems odd bringing in an overseas bowler, presumably at greater cost than home grown talent, and then choosing not to play him.

He might be injured of course
