of course

he's either very unlucky with injury, or someone, somewhere is failing him. He might turn out to be another Tremlett who has undoubted ability, but spends much of his career injured, finding only a brief period of fitness in which to have his moment in the sun.

Must be really disheartening for him

Same for Fisher.

Ballance still affected by his demons?

3 wickets for Simon Kerrigan

decent start to his cricketing resurrection

What the hell is going on at Chelmsford?

Essex all out for 96, then Durham 148/8 with Borthwick scoring 100 of those

playing in the dark, fluffy. We got to 98-1 with no alarms until the light went and the match was relying pretty much on the floodlights, and then Essex ran through us.

4 great big black shadows around every player. Eventually they took us off, only to bring us back out for another wicket to fall straight away and then took us off again.... so that was nice :horse

Even so, how does one player get 100 at an SR of 77 when the next best is 24 at an SR of 30 :hmmm

Must be one of the weirdest scorecards in history.

Abbott has a wicket, so MA can't get all 11. Still, 6-11 is handy.

Old man river backed up his 4fer with a fifty against Yorks

Kerrigan plunders late runs against his old club to add to his earlier 4fer

Surrey's England contingent piling on the runs against Leics. Stonemercenary pretty much failed again.... oh dear, how sad, never mind

Hants piling on the runs against hapless Middlesex

Matt Critchley adds 3 wickets to his earlier century. He's started off in fine fettle and he hasn't played his favourite county Durham yet, against whom he always makes a nuisance of himself

Stiaan van Zyl looked classy today.....completely unfussed by what Glamorgan had to offer

Couple of late wickets for Yorks leaves them well placed. Looks a much better performance than against Glamorgan.
