I think that is more realistic. Durham can't keep up a title challenge unless the batting improves.

Yay, we won a match! And with Carberry, Ervine and Smith pretty much contributing nothing between them (before today, they were the only guys to have scored any runs for us).

Just our luck that Fidel wont be around for our four day game day (due to the CPL), just as he hits real form for us. But hopefully Bird will be a lot closer to full fitness come then. I mean, look at what a bit of game time has done for Fidel (comparing this match with his debut vs Yorks).

Great also that Durham managed to beat Somerset for us. As I say, Somerset and Worcs are my favourites to go down. And Notts' bowling line-up is arguably even weaker than ours.

Pretty much four days of solid rain at Taunton would be nice, keep Notts and Somerset both below us.

Even though Warks are only one place, and 11 points, above us, they are welcome to absolutely smash Worcs at New Road.

Two games in South group also taking place today. Gloucs have the chance to become the fifth side to go joint top on 8 points (and do great damage to Middlesex's hopes at the same time), whilst the bottom two take each other on. For the loser of Sussex-Surrey, their t20 hopes will be hanging by a thread - probably just one more quick defeat away from being over for another season. Which is something I could absolutely see for Sussex before a ball was bowled, but not for Surrey.

Bates is on a 1 month contract with Somerset and played yesterday..hopefully he can score some runs and get a deal.
