Sussex v Middx last game of the season might be fortuitous.

Possible that a lot of play could be lost over the last two days, so can't count the points up yet.

That pitch at Lords has given up a lot of runs recently, so you cant count out Middlesex struggling for 14 wickets if there is a lot of rain.

Sussex and Yorkshire well on top at the moment, so only rain should stpo them winning.

Would like to see Sussex declare and try and finish the game asap.

Been an absolute wonder signing this year for Sussex. His keeping isnt anywhere near as special as people make out, but hes turned into a run machine with the bat, and has got the best out of this side more often than not.

Maybe Sussex batting on suggests the forecast is ok down there.

Players in the pressing room in Leics.

For today yes, but after lunch tomorrow I doubt we will get play if the forecast is true.

Glammy 1 down after 8 runs... may not need tomorrow.

Although its now Ingram and BIlly Root..... both of these seem to always score runs against us, so I expect it to be 200/1 at some point this afternoon.

Ingram played an absolute blinder at Sophia Gardens earlier in the year. Absolutely faultless knock.

Go on Jackie boy... Ingram out for 70, Sussex making inroads.

Victory here would make it very difficult for even us to bugger this up

Or it could be already promoted Sussex B v Middlesex.

Middlesex are in deep trouble today as Gloucestershire have a big chance to win. That leaves 31 points between Sussex and Middlesex if they were to lose, which in reality means that even if Middlesex were to win with maximum points in their last two games, Sussex will be promoted with a draw + 10 wickets + 250 runs - and the likelihood of Middlesex hitting max bonus points is highly unlikely, as they have the 2nd worst in the Division and havent done it all year. A win next week and Sussex can also be champions depending on the bonus point differentials (and assuming Yorkshire win).

In a very weird way, maybe some Yorkshire fans are cheering Middlesex on. As long as Sussex are under 24 points ahead before the last game, they will play that game to win. If they are already promoted, I think they will take the opportunity to have a look at some new blood and put some last chance saloon squad players in to win their contracts next year.
