I supoose retiring from First Class cricket still leaves open the possibility of moving to our Minor Counties lot!

My mistake. He retired after the Kent game but was on loan to Derbyshire.

Decent start but wickets shortly before and after lunch has set us back.

Hopefully Northeast can find a bit of form today as it doesn't look the best batting line up today.

Never heard of Soames, where's Roussow, and just remembered 10.30am start.

Another two quick wickets and Alsop with another duck. Looks like our form is dipping at the wrong time.

Standard top / mid order collapse happening.

Riley has flown home to attend the birth of his child I believe.

Find it strange that we signed this bloke from Glamorgan and then play a youth team player over him.

That was going to be my other question. I've heard he's not done much this season, but why sign him on loan if he isn't going to play.

Has the pitch turned into a minefield since just before lunch or are we just crap?

I guess the law of averages may be telling us it's our turn to go down.

Decent end to our innings, shame we just missed out on a batting point.

Two early wickets in Worcs innings brings us back into the game.

I know Mitchell has been their main man for many years, but he always seems to do very well against us.

Lancs being in a complete mess is of huge assistance to us (even if Somerset get deducted points, it's not like that'll help Lancs). So despite our own batting failures, a couple of quick wickets tomorrow morning could set us up for a very rewarding round of matches.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

Coincidentally the BBC report at the close of play mentioned that Mitchell has a better personal record against Hants than any other first class side.

And Lancashire 24/4. 69 runs behind so Somerset might even win by an innings.
