Seems strange that James Vince has persisted with part-time bowling. Are the Hampshire bowlers ragged or something?

An excellent effort after being 41/3, I'd have been happy with 400 but this total is formidable. Weather forecast is meant to get better for batting for the remainder of this match, lets see what the pitch has in store.

At least Vince is still in at the close. Big partnerships between him, Ervine, Wheater and McClaren required tomorrow. Weather looks okay for the next two days.

A good effort from Yorkshire's bowlers to get 5 wickets before stumps, but still a lot of work to do and a lot of Hampshire batting to come before winning can even be contemplated.
