Leading wicket taker in the CC with 54 wkts at av.22 . So why isn't he in W.Indian squads?

Article in one of the Sunday papers mentioned the Windies are interested in him but also that he will shortly qualify for England.

Wood omitted from the ODI squad, report in the paper today suggested he'd probably be in. Stokes in the ODI squad but not the T20 one so no Durham players will feature in our home international. It's just as well the tickets have already sold out!

A chance for him to swear at an umpire during the ODI's and ge his ban out of the way before the Ashes!

The way I understand if us that one more 'point' will result in either a ban for 2 ODI's or 1 test. I think the accumulated points stay on his record for a year ( or 2) so if he picks up a further ban it'll be double the length.
However getting a ban during this series should ensure he doesn't get one during the Ashes because it'll reset the clock.

Sir Ian has lambasted FTECB over their decision to leave Stokes out for the T20 game v Windies.

The ECB have said, “It was a collective decision between the management and the player in that Ben needed a break and it is just unfortunate that it is a one-off T20 at Durham.”
In effect they 're saying we're giving him a rest from bowling a maximum of 4 overs and batting a maximum of an hour in a game he's going to attend anyway. Only FTECB could issue a statement like that and not realize how stupid it sounds.

No signs of Borthwick regaining his form - out for a duck this morning.

No. A winter of Nana Borthwick's mince and dumplings and he'll be fine.
