Gotta feel for Surrey 3 final defeats in a row, but congrats to Notts and class from Hales

There wasn't a single Sorry player in today's team who has played in every single match of this competition. Notts had 6 in their line up

It is difficult to feel sorry for Surrey for the reason that DFM game plus others, but mainly for the presence of Gareth Batty, an extremely average cricketer and an unpleasant individual to boot.

Northants attack is a bit of a worry today. Only 3 seamers and Crook and Buck are not exactly reliable.

For Yorks, K. Cadmore is in for Ballance. Tim captains and replaces Patterson. Brooks is out and Plunkett returns.

He's had some excellent spells, but has bowled some rubbish and can go for runs. Crook also goes for runs, and doesn't take many wickets.

Yorky Rhodes to Warwickshire. Hard to find fault with this comment.
Looking at the performances of the creaking and aging Yorkshire team, this was a jump too soon. Willey will never make a first class bowler, Brookes looks finished, Sidebottom retiring. Bresnan is still struggling with an elbow issue. The batting is thin too, Lyth, Lees and Leaning have been found out, so he really should have remained. Time has come to cut adrift Plunkett, Root and Bairstow as the ECB do not want them playing for Yorkshire, they do not want Bairstow, possible the best player of his generation playing at all. Time to start again.

Dodgy pitch at Cheltenham? Doesn't seem to matter who the bowler is, wickets are tumbling. 11 already. (It's not like there's one bowler having a wonder spell)

There must be something seriously wrong with it. 17 wickets before tea on day 1!
