Randim emojis! Don't know how they ended up there.
I suppose the question now is will we be able to get another overseas in? 3 games in as many weeks and even if Carse is ready for the first one there must be a fair chance he'll be injured again before the third one!

surely if Murphy wasn't available until after the ashes, then we needed spin cover until then, which is the Parky deal... that's the way I understand it, anyway

Agree and with both Potts and Carse now presumably available along with Raine and Toole with Parkinson as the spin option that's a pretty formidable attack.Probably the strongest and most varied we've fielded all season actually.

not a name I've heard of before now

he appears to be a replacement for de Leede, if his stats are anything to go by

and speaking of de Leede..... he's a one man wrecking ball to Scotland's attempts to make the WC later in the year

5fer with the ball and currently 83 not out in Holland's chase of a target of 278. 7 fours and a six from his 76 balls thus far

de Leede run out for 123 chasing the winning runs. 92 balls, 7 fours, 5 sixes

5-52 off his 10 overs, which tbh I'd expect him to concede off 4 overs in the T20, so well done him

Quite an achievement. Seems to have almost single handedly scuppered Scotland.

the 5 sixes were very important, because Scotland could still have qualified for the WC even if they lost today, as long as Holland didn't knock the runs off in less than 44 overs or something. They were behind the rate for a long time in the match but, in the end, 4 sixes from de Leede in 2 overs, with overs running out, ensured that Holland won by a big enough margin to take them ahead of Scotland on run rate and book themselves a berth in India

I had TMS on and they had an update on that game and it was something like 10 an over required- I assumed there was no chance!
It does mean he'll definitely miss the Gloucestershire game though - Sri Lanka and Holland playing on Sunday. Both qualified but must be an advantage in winning the finsl qualifier.
And what about Potts? Injury scare for Robinson but a gap between the 3rd and 4th test so no reason why MP shouldn't play - in fact you'd think a game would be good for him.

He has but I wondered, if Robinson is ruled out/or doubtful for the next test, that might change. No reason why it should but some of the decisions about player availability seem random!

I see Son of Frankenstein is on the Legend channel tomorrow. Seems ages since it was last on TV and a rare Halliwell favourite- 3 stars!
