Carse has to be described as a genuine all rounder now, surely?

I think so. A few years ago Collingwood said he thought Carse had the potential to be a genuine all-rounder capable of batting in the top 6 - seems as if he was right.

Bit of an iffy forecast tomorrow so good to get ahead of the game. Must admit I was fearing the worst after the early dismissals and ,as you mentioned. It looked as if that new ball was going to prevent us getting a sizeable lead, but an excellent day in the end.

with the weather the way it is around the country and looking at the other scores in div 2, it might be that a max points draw will further increase our lead, should the weather interfere. My phone seems to think that the weather might not have much of a role over the next couple of days, though. Even if it does, our attack this week looks very potent on paper. More so than in the Leics game

I agree, another maximum points draw will be fine and we have the attack that could well be able to force a win. Have to think that ,if we get a few wickets with the new ball they could fold relatively quickly. Ideal scenario would be to try and get the total up towards 500 .

Me too. If the rain stops it should be a bowling day- looks as if the clouds are going to linger throughout.

Made it to 450. Very unusual weather- heaven's opened in Pelton and it looked set for a while. 10 minutes later it's blue skies and sunshine. Could well be an on-off day which could olay into our hands. Although there's always the chance it'll rain all afternoon.
