ECB have released ticket details for The Hundred (which is clear as mud)

Reading between the lines, pricing is not really new audience friendly with adult tickets as much as £35 and the ECB are relying on hype to drive sales. There are already availability issues regarding Australian players, as the tour of Zimbabwe co-incides with The Hundred. Add the ever reliable British summer, families traditionally going away as soon as the six weeks holiday begin and there is every chance The Hundred will flop.

I've seen women (without a fella) take children to watch Yorkshire v Northants in last years Blast, Yorkshire v Derbyshire in the 2017 Blast and Day 5 of the England v West Indies test.

Strauss target audiences does exist, but watching cricket in it's current form.

perhaps they'll put the 2020 CC season off until 2021, and then play a double season of CC, dropping the hundred, the one day cup and the Dribble to make room for it

He also said yesterday something along the lines of "opening the batting has prepared me for isolation well. I know what its like to take a short walk out in the morning, and be drinking tea from 11:02 for the rest of the day inside"

9 rounds of CC lost

red and white ball cricket will be held in blocks which presumably means test cricket, ODI cricket, T20 cricket, not even T20 cricket, with 5 rounds of rain affected/second wave affected championship cricket in late Sept/early October.

I knew they'd put the money before the health of the spectators. It doesn't seem to have occurred to them that they may not be allowed to pack 'em in. They may find they have to restrict sales for a test at Lords to five thousand to maintain some form of relaxed social distancing (that's one seat in six to keep people apart). They could do that without even trying at any county ground if they made the championship the focus of the domestic season

and are they really planning to have a championship season of 5 matches with titles, promotion and relegation at stake.... of course not..... they are expecting to scrap the championship season for 2020 but don't want to be seen to just ditch it in it's entirety in order to focus on the moola
