Former Lancashire and Leeds/Bradford universities cricketer Tom Hardman passed away at his home, he was 21.

Horrific to learn, didn't seem all that long ago he was bowling fiercely for Leeds/Bradford Universities against a first rate Yorkshire batting line up.

May he be in a better place.

Why are there two Random Cricket threads, one in Domestic Cricket and the other in International Cricket? :dunno

Good spot. I thought there was just the one thread.

There was just one till about half past four today (Thursday), Aidan, then another suddenly appeared with the same content, except for the most recent post.

There are now two threads but I've amended the title so that random domestic stuff goes in this thread, and international stuff for the other thread in that section.

Illogical... random means random. This is like asking someone to choose some random numbers, and then saying that they can only be even numbers. With respect.

Not illogical, with respect. It's like asking someone to pick a random even number and another to pick a random odd number-both perfectly valid.

Perhaps we should have lots of different 'random chat' threads. A thread for when someone is just saying hello, another for when someone is only posting because they are bored, another for when someone has something important to say but can't find an appropriate thread, and yet another for when they are posting just because no-one has posted on the thread for a few days and it needs 'bumping' up.

I'm with DA on this one... random is just random

That isn't what I said, westoelad.

TBH it's not worth beating yourselves up over it.

Random threads have been created seperately for domestic & international stuff. It may not be a perfect scenario but then what is?

Personally I've got better things to worry about.

And what if it falls into neither category, as many do, Aidan? Post in both? Or just don't bother?

The "perfect scenario" was as it was before, where one could just post random things about cricket without considering anything about categories.

Can you give me an example? Just about everything can go in one or the other I would have thought.

Yes, I can give you an example, Aidan - the last post (which I made yesterday) in what's now the international thread. Nothing to do with either domestic or international issues, just a snippet about Jimmy Anderson.

Ok, well if I was posting the article about Jimmy, I would put it in the international thread as he is more associated with England than Lancashire.

However if someone else was posting it and put it in the domestic section then I don't think anyone would have a problem with it. With message boards, as in life, there are going to be some ambiguities.
