As for Brezza, is it a fitness issue with him, or is it a loss of form?

Nor are Leics the easiest side to captain. A mixture of mainly Kolpaks and county rejects there must be little natural affinity to the club. Bit of a noisy rabble at Durham earlier in the season with Cosgrove appearing to be exerting an great deal of influence.

Never thought he's been the same player since he had that elbow/arm surgery.

Cosgrove was the captain before wasnt he? Maybe the rest of the team still backed him? Probably preferred his dedication levels to training :laugh

Not sure on the ins and out of Leicester as a club, but obviously their form on the pitch hasnt been great for a long time by memory. Something is obviously wrong at the club too.

He's always been a bit of a strapping lad who has to put a lot of body into his balls, so you always feel bowlers like that dont have long shelve lives. Someone like Flintoff was the same, and he had injury problems all the time

Either way, 33 year old paceman off form, probably looking for a long deal to take him to retirement, and with the international history behind him that probably says he wants more money that his current value suggests....

Not a sensible signing for a team like Durham, let him go to someone with cash to throw around and take the risk.

Tim's bowling was tailing off so Yorks were trying to reinvent him as a top six bat, which didn't really work. He's still a handy player though.

Yes, probably agent trying to get more than his pound of flesh -no pun intended!
Hopefully a sensible compromise can be reached.
Also think Pudsey has capability of being a punishing middle order bat.

the fact that it has happened is a good thing, that it has only happened now, not so good.

Reckon Yorkshire are reluctant to significantly extend the contracts of Plunkett, Rashid and Bresnan because of the impending 100 ball tournament and the IPL having it's own FTP window from 2020. England white balls in their current form are not worth a county contract unless if it is pro-rata, because they could potentially miss about 70% of the season.

I'd have him up here

He might have one last burst of form in him, I wouldn't be unhappy to see him here. Stories in the press that Yorkshire are not going to give Tim Bresnan a new deal , if this is Colly's last year as a player and this time it surely will be , he'd be a good replacement.

Bresnan's stats in the last season and a half are moderate in the extreme; doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. Colly's retirement will release mega bugs but the priority should be not a player but a top fitness consultant who can keep our young fast bowlers on the park.
