Johny Bairstow stalling on signing a new contract according to Daily Mail. Disillusioned that club allowed Plunkett and Lees to leave.Pretty sad incitement on the running of the club when such a die-hard is undecided whether he wants to play for them.

If Bairstow is serious on regaining the gloves for England, he might as well stay on at Yorkshire where the club would happily accommodate him to keep whenever he is on domestic duty. Losing Plunkett and Lees is not ideal (I would have given Plunkett a 12 month extension), but Surrey are able to offer good contracts whilst Lees need to move on to galvanise his career.

Secretly hoping Bairstow does not make next years Ashes squad, reckon Yorkshire would have a right chance of winning next years Blast.

Mohammad Shahzad has hit 74 off 16 balls in the T10 league. he hit 6 fours and 8 sixes for a strike rate of 450odd. his side chased down a 95 target in 4 overs

be interesting to see if the match was being played on a 5 a side football pitch

Looks a normal sized pitch in the video I seen, but it could be deceptive, like some of those grounds where the leg side fence is 50 yards away.

The emergence of the T10 really does leave the position of the ECBs 100 competition as a mystery. If I want a pure "home run derby" where everyone wants to smash every ball, then I am fully in with this. If I like aggressive slogging that has to have slightly more accountability, Ill pick T20. If I want the longer, more tactical game, but with its fair sahre of hitting, ill go 50/50. And if I want to bask in the true form of the game, tests....

What is 100 again? Which particular craving does it satisfy?

The ECB should really back T10 as the future, or back T20 as the current..... halfway house makes no sense.

women and children are demanding it, apparently

if I was to open my window right now, I would probably hear them baying into the night

actually, T3 sounds like a better idea..... they could have 5 bowlers bowling 3 balls each, and let one of them double up to bowl a 6 ball over at an arbitrary point in the game, to be decided by the fielding side...

mmmm..... 6 ball overs... whatever next?

sounds radical

I think SP has a point.......a quick glance at the scorecard tells me that Northern Warriors are on 158-2 after 9 overs. If T20 is too long winded for women and children, then this would be an easy solution

they finished their innings on 183, btw, thumping 3 sixes and a four in the final over
