It's the sort of thing FTECB would come up with - bat flip instead of coin toss to appeal to new supporters!

Perhaps we are going to see one more case of ball tampering. Mumbai opening batsman Jay Bista seemed to be working on the ball while speaking with the bowler. I would be surprised if the match referee does not reviews the footage. To me he was very silly to do whatever he did, that is clearly umpires job if there was any wear and year of leather on ball if he noticed.

George Dobell, the cricket journalist, spoke at the Northern Cricket Society monthly meeting last week. It was a fascinating evening. Amongst the most memorable subjects was his belief that the Ben Stokes matter was misrepresented and he was rightly judged innocent, that the Hundred comp is unnecessary, that there are too many managers, officials, executives etc and they have extortionate salaries....and more...really interesting evening..
Great cricket journalist, George.Only him and Athers nowadays.

Sounds like it was a great evening. Dobell always talks/writes sense.

Dont always agree with things he says, but I have respect for Dobell. He seems to be trying to hold the ECB to account.

Yes. Wasn't Colin Graves threatening to sue him at one point?!

Yesterday Junaid Khan took 10 minutes to ball a over at end of innings in BPL.

The last time i saw a long over was when some pacer had bowled 5 or 6 extra balls in one over. Don't remember who the bowler was.
