Sam Billings out for 3-5 months with a dislocated shoulder and Ollie Pope has suffered the same type of injury and " it is hoped " he will return towards the end of the season.

Huge blow for Pope he would have been eyeing up a test recall!

Maybe it's our patriotic duty to lend out Nigel to ensure both Pope and Billings make a quick recovery...in time for the 2023 World Cup.

Wouldn't wish that on anyone. Quasimodo only had a dislocated shoulder until Nigel got his hands on him :Nooooo

Yep. One of a kind and county cricket won't be the same.
Could there be a Fairytale finish with Somerset finally winning the Championship? That would be something!

Farewell to Tres. Wasn't likely he would go on so long when he retired from England duty.

Guessing he was the youngest - by at least a couple of years - too...

only just still playing, mind

recently picked up a hairy blob in his comeback match for Knowle & Dorridge CC in the Birmingham and District Premier League.

Bell, a veteran of 118 Tests, 161 one-dayers and eight T20 internationals for England, was caught behind off Richard Jones, a former Bears team-mate and now a coach with Warwickshire, as Knowle and Dorridge were bowled out for 165.

And Berkswell reached 166-3 in 37.5 overs in reply to win by seven wickets.
