Now who is this Ryan Sidebottom playing for Victoria u23s?

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia/c ... 02569.html

All I know is he's 22 years old and recently played AFL before opting to have a go at forging a proper cricket career.

Quinton de Kock blitzed 126* off 69 in a domestic T20 match in South Africa. He really is a special talent.

he is a fantastic player, and will be a test player in the near future IMO.

He'll be in the side soon enough; the mask about ABs keeping is starting to slip all that remains is for South Africa to make the decision on who gets dropped for him.

Was just looking at cricket videos on YouTube and came across this. It has to be the worst pitch of all time. It's WA 2nd XI v NSW 2nd XI at the WACA in 2010. Massive crack running down the middle of the pitch. Unbelievably this game wasn't abandoned.

There was that Jamaican pitch where the Test was abandoned after a few overs back in the 90s. Can't have been worse than this one though.

Looks like a net which has been prepared specifically to practice against adverse movement!

I wonder what the scorecard was like. Byes the top-scorer no doubt.

Never seen a wicket like that.

Emirates now have naming rights on a second test ground after doing a deal with Lancashire.

So now it's Emirates Old Trafford and Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground.

Perth had a big trench down the pitch in the last Ashes series. No one seemed to hit it though.

The plan is to turn the Emirates Stadium into a cricket pitch and then they can hold a mini-series where their marketing is everywhere, the umpires are still deferent to them, the only refreshments being available are tiny bottles of wine and fizzy pop, you can't leave your seat unless you get the all clear over the tannoy etc.

Cracking deal for Lancashire to get a lucrative and long term sponsorship deal, well played.

Durham will probably be calling themselves Durham MI5 because they seem to be telling nobody anything.

I just hope the players themselves know who will be playing when the actual games start.
