The bears are putting a late charge in this T20 competition. Maybe their improvement in the CC has spread a good feel factor.

Nothing beats having a bit of momentum in t20 cricket. If you can win this, and continue this recovery for the next week or so, I'd be wanting to avoid you in the QFs, even with our record (both in t20 cricket this season and in recent seasons, and against you guys in limited overs cricket).

When players are released as these three will be do Warwickshire scout around the counties helping find a new position or are they left to their own devices?

An email will go out to all counties and that's about it and, If they have an agent, he will do a ring round but they don't get a great deal of help. Problem for less than stellar players is that counties will wait till nearer the start of next season to take them on as they don't want to carry the wages before they have to - also the closer to the new season, the more desperate the players get which makes them cheaper.

Weather cheated Warwickshire out of a win again, again and again.

Funny old season for you

Hampered at times by the weather, England call ups, injuries to key bowlers, and you've played some poor matches too.

actually, that sounds like a normal season really. In the good years, sides get through these trials unscathed, and in the bad years they debilitate a side, but that's why the CC is so hard to win, I suppose.

When you have a good year (as you certainly did, last year.......best team by a mile), it makes things all the sweeter. It also emphasises why back to back titles (and 3 in a row in our case) happen so infrequently.

The important thing is not to do what the Lanky's did; and the Notty's did a few years ago, and go down the season after being crowned champions. No chance of that in your case, so you'll come back stronger next year. Just got to keep Barks fit, and who knows..... await the international retirement of Ian Bell post ashes down under, and make him captain.

With very much a scratch team we did pretty well yesterday, let's hope they can finish the job of dismissing Sussex quickly and bat well. It would be amazing if this game ends in a victory but a draw would be a decent result in the circumstances.

Haven't they done well. I remember the days when Warwickshire was a big attraction for West Indian fans, what's happened?
