A proper relegation scrap.

A televised match is still on the schedules for next week with this week's removed.

I hope so. Sky would redeem themselves by showing another game.

They'd probably show Worcs vs Essex, Worcs can win the title and Essex can come 2nd and win promotion.

I've no problem with that. Just a shame they can't show both. They have six sports channels and a red button facility after all. It's probably a contractual thing that prevents it though. I don't see why Sky can't negotiate more CC cricket. They are obsessed with the "fast food" versions of domestic cricket.

I haven't seen viewing figures, but I'd imagine the LVCC games don't get many viewers, whilst the T20s do.

Prince staying on would be a huge help. Top class batsman, he's made over 1000 runs in each of the last three seasons.

Junaid Khan signed for last game of the season.

He's replacing Khawaja, who had to return to Australia. There's a rule requiring overseas players needing to be registered for a minimum number of weeks-Durham were in a race against time to find a replacement for Hastings but Khan played for Lancs in the t20 so that's probsbly why he's allowed to play again.

Ussie has gone home and Kahn played for us in the T20. Won't do much good though.

So, Middx need five points to stay up. If Lancs get max points and win, both teams would be will be level on points if Middx get five points, and level on WDL so it goes on head to head. In the earlier game, Lancs got four points, so if Middx get five to finish level (if Lancs get 24) they will avoid relegation.

But no! Middx only got 22 points to Lancs 4. So if Lancs get 24 and Middx 5 Lancs stay up on head to head. Middx need six to stay a point ahead, level is no good.

I think.

I wonder if Middlesex are brave enough to declare their innings with just two wickets down and gamble on taking Lancs wickets within 110 overs.
