Club Cricket Thread

So aside from watching/following the County and international game, who is involved in club cricket this year?

Playing my second season after a fun but full of failure (both individually and as a team) first season. We dropped down a few leagues so that standard will be pretty poor. So I should fit right in!

Simple aims for me this year. Get my economy rate down from 8 to under 4 and score more than 20 in an innings.

Didn't your side narrowly miss out on promotion in 2012?

I'll be participating in Club Cricket this year for the 2nd team in the Mutual Sunday School League, along with some social/friendly cricket action in between.

Potentially some interesting developments to announce over the next few days too.

Umpiring in the local league this year, just 40 over games on a Saturday.

Ditto but 50 over A division and 45 B division .Also trying to to upgrade to level 2 for a tilt at Premier League/ECB standard games next season ( 2015).Very enjoyable thus far ,mostly, despite those that claim they were not out ."Just look in score book ,fella. What does it say there? " ,and the bitter cold in early season games ( thermal long johns and vests etc).

Have you signed Sanga for the early season matches?

Different offside rule in cricket. Easier to understand and less controversial to implement :)

yes we did AP my apolgies, was getting confused lol, we have 5 sides at our club and one of them got promoted the year we missed out, at least one of them did lol!!

DFM- personal goals, is an intresting one, i like to make sure im contributing so i can at least gurantee my own place in the side, nothing worse than trying to motivate a side when your not performing yourself..

18 games, obviously 1 day games...... being an all-rounder i would like to think i can contribute around 300 runs and 40 wickets..
