Also Alex Lees enhancing his England credentials with 102 off 92 balls, only 1 six.

I'm thinking of trying to get an ASBO served on Lyth and Lees banning them from Wantage Road. The damage they have caused this season is outrageous.

Yorkshire with an emphatic 3 wicket win against Leicestershire with 3 balls to spare, Andrew Hodd carrying his bat scoring 69 off 43 balls.

Almost screwed over by Duckworth/Lewis as after the rain interruption Yorkshire needed 164 runs off 21 overs.

Good effort from Yorkshire to chase down the adjusted target.

Interesting D/L calculation at Taunton. Somerset's innings was rain interrupted-but not before they lost 2 quick wickets-and, on resumption, the game was reduced to 33 overs per side. Somerset completed their innings and finished on 193/8 and the D/L target for Sussex was 189.
All irrelevant because Sussex look to be coasting home.

I genuhnely don't understand it, everytime I think that I know how D/L works, it throws a curve ball.

Probably didn't make a difference today, but no way should the target be lower.

It's odd. Must be to do with Somerset losing 2 early wickets before the rain interruption ( at least I assume they lost them before the overs were reduced)-suppose it was easier for them to bat more positively in a reduced overs game having lost 2 quick wickets than it would have been in a full game. That's all I can think of.

the game was reduced to 44 then they went 2 down, then rain, even so.. Sussex knowing they had a max of 33 should of evened that out.

I can't see anyway that 2 teams can face the same amount of overs and the team that scores less is the winner, at the very least they should chase what Somerset reached.

I agree, seems ridiculous for the team chasing to be set a lower total.

Yorkshire continue to find ways of winning games whilst the other teams sit and watch it rain. The rain gods must come from Yorkshire.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

A slow start from Yorkshire, understandable given they were inserted to bat and conditions favouring the bowlers. However Jack Leaning steps up to the plate and scores 111* and Yorkshire end up on 290/6.

Might be a par total given Essex have some big hitters of their own and Yorkshire's bowling attack is weak.

I've been away for a week but the D/L adjusted game between Sussex and Middlesex, seems to be the worst use of it I've seen in a while. A par of 61 from 18 overs or did I read that wrongly?
