Yes. I'm sure the only reason he wasn't released was because he had a year left on his contract because he was given permission to speak to other counties.
Willey had a good over today! Was it 3 wickets in 4 balls?

That's correct. His record last year was abysmal. However he has had a good world cup. Peters also was given permission to speak to other counties and stayed. He was selected for the current match.

Big season for him?

Not too big a season, hopefully. I'd rather he was scoring points for my fL team, than be dragged around sitting on his hands with the England set up

I think so. He needs to push on. As I've said previously, I'm not convinced that he is international standard although he is a very good county player. Given his age (25)
if he is going to make the next step I think it has to start this year.

Coetzer scores a double century for the seconds. Will that be enough to get him into the first XI?

Good win today with all the seam bowlers contributing. As ever I want to see bigger contributions from the top order but the lower order produced the goods.

Well that was a much more comfortable draw than I was expecting after close yesterday.

I find Crook a hard one to work out. Huge contribution in this match, and yet not a regular starter. In fact he only seems to play when Willey is not available. Last year when Willey was out injured for a bit, and Crook was getting regular starts, I had him in my county manager team, and he was flaming useless

He certainly had a poor season last year, along with almost everybody else. I don't think his bowling is penetrative enough to nail a place in the best XI.

96 ball ton for Willey.
