Looks like the MEM was on the money. Horton not in the squad to face Glamorgan at OT, Haseeb Hameed is set to make his debut, presumably opening alongside Brown unless Petersen is going to move up.

Horton qualifies for a benefit under the normal accepted criteria I.e. 10 years service. Has he had one?

From the weather forecast it's going to be tough to get a result at OT.

Brown continues his fine form at the top of the order, Hammed didn't do much and the two Saffers failed for once.

Good day at the office with Brown scoring 132, Davies falling just short of his maiden first class ton and half tons for Croft and Faulk in 462 all out.

Bragg out in Glams' responce 48 for 1 at the close.

While Glam were forced to follow on, they managed to bat out the draw.

Surrey only 10 points behind us now, but promotion is all but gaurenteed.

Kyle Hogg got his cap 9 years after his debut and never got a benefit after 13 years there. He played two first class matches on loan to Worcs and got a cap. That was a couple of years before his Lancs cap. :facepalm

Good to see Lilley, Livingstone and Clarke have signed new deals. Lilley especially has impressed this season.

In slightly less good news, Javis is out for the rest of the season with a broken hand supposedly.

Giles did an interview with the MEM which confirmed that it was Horton who chose to leave, rumors are to Somerset.

Karl Brown has put pen to paper on a new contract which can only be good news. Played very well this season at the top of the order after Reece broke his hand, though he'd likely been dropped if he hadn't anyway.

The big day is at hand. Can't see us winning, but you never know.

Plumping for Hampshire.

Promotion and domestic silverware in Giles' first season. Not a bad job but the real question is can healed us stick especially with the loss of Horton and potential retirement for Prince.

Second division final against Surrey will likely be a loss given out bowling worries at the minute.

Yes, well done Lancs. Need to keep Prince going.

A bit of a rehabilitation for Gilo?
