Asad Fudadin hit 94 not out and captain Leon Johnson made 92, to put defending champions Guyana in a commanding position at the halfway stage of their four-day match at Queen's Park Oval. The visitors reached 233-3 at the close, with veteran Shiv Chanderpaul on 22, for a first innings lead of 23 with seven wickets in hand.

Once more, there was a day of tumbling wickets, and this time it was at St George's in Grenada, where 18 wickets fell on the second day's play. Spinners Liam Sebastien (4-68), Shane Shillingford (3-94) and Dalton Polius (3-30) combined to bowl Barbados out for 296. However, in reply the Windwards could only manage 179 all out, tailender Alston Bobb topscoring with 40 not out, against medium pacer Kevin Stoute (4-30) and fast man Miguel Cummins (3-42). Despite a first innings lead of 117, Barbados batted shakily, reaching 30-2 at stumps.

At Sabina Park, there was a lower-order recovery, as wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh made 73, and allrounder Nikita Miller 51, to help Jamaica make 243 against spinner Rahkeem Cornwall (4-76), and pacers Gavin Tonge (3-76) and Alzarri Joseph (3-46). Trailing by 79 on first innings, the Leewards were struggling at 112-3 at the close of the Day Two. Opening batsman Shane Jeffers was leading the resistance with 55 not out.

Once again, the cellar-dwellers Leewards crashed to defeat in three days, going down by three wickets to Jamaica at Sabina Park. A total of 14 wickets fell on the third day, as the Leewards were bowled out for 228 by spinners Nikita Miller (4-71) and Damion Jacobs (3-72). Opener Shane Jeffers hit 61, and Orlando Peters made 52. Set a paltry 150 to win, Jamaica made hard work of reaching that target, Paul Palmer playing a captain's innings of 51 not out. Spinner Rahkeem Cornwall took 5-39.

Guyanese batsmen cashed in on the penultimate day, as the hosts took control of their four-day match at Queen's Park Oval. Opening batsman Asad Fudadin hit 102, and there were knocks of 79 and 64 from allrounders Chris Barnwell and Raymon Reifer respectively, as the visitors made 475 all out. Trinidad's best bowler was part-timer Yannick Ottley with 3-17. Trailing by 265 on first innings, Trinidad were 51-2 at stumps.

Roston Chase hit 71 and Shamarh Brooks 66, as Barbados declared their second innings on 261-7 at St George's in Grenada, offspinner Shane Shillingford taking 3-76. Set an unlikely target of 379, the Windwards were 40 without loss at stumps.

It was another tale of sorry batting on the final day of the fourth round....

At Queen's Park Oval, defending champions Guyana thrashed Trinidad by an innings and 49 runs. Needing 265 to make Guyana bat again, Trinidad were bowled out for a paltry 216 by spinners Veerasammy Permaul (5-62) and Gudakesh Moti-Kanhai (4-43). Kyle Hope hit 74 for the hosts.

At St George's, not even rain could save the Windwards from losing by a massive 181 runs. The hosts lost all 10 wickets on the final day's play for just 197 runs, Tyrone Theophile, Miles Bascombe and Johnson Charles all hitting 40s, but no one going on to make those starts count. Left-arm spinner Suleimann Benn took 6-55.

Guyana lead the standings with 70, followed by Jamaica on 50, Barbados 44, Trinidad 33, Windwards 23, and Leewards at the bottom, as usual, with 10 points.

In the top-of-the-table clash in the fifth round of the PCL, a total of 14 wickets fell on the first day at Sabina Park, as once again bowlers dominated batsmen. Spinners Nikita Miller (6-46) and John Campbell (3-45) combined to dismiss defending champions for a paltry 189, Asad Fudadin and Vishal Singh hitting 40s. In reply, Jamaica did little better, stuttering to 63-4 at stumps, Devon Thomas making 30, while left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul has taken two wickets to date.

Roston Chase hit 95 not out and Jonathan Carter 54, as Barbados made 272-6 on the opening day of their four-day match at Kensington Oval. Pacer Gavin Tonge has taken four wickets so far for the Leewards. Andre Fletcher topscored with 63 in the Windwards total of 205-7 at Beausejour in St Lucia. For Trinidad, there are two wickets so far for pacer Uthman Muhammad and legspinner Imran Khan.

It was another low-scoring day in the top-of-the-table clash at Sabina Park, as left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul took 5-25 to dismiss Jamaica for a paltry 146, Devon Thomas topscoring with 30. With a first innings lead of 43, Guyana were 133-3 at the halfway stage of the match. Captain Leon Johnson has topscored so far with 42, while opening batsman Tagenarine Chanderpaul is 39 not out.

Shane Shillingford topscored with 64, as the Windwards were all out for 306, on the second day of their four-day match at Beausejour. Legspinner Imran Khan took 3-100. In reply, Trinidad were 153-2, thanks to a couple of 58 not outs from Narsing Deonarine and Yannick Cariah.

At Kensington Oval, Roston Chase made 136 not out in Barbados' score of 368 all out, pacer Gavin Tonge taking 4-71. The Leewards continued their shocking run in the PCL, only managing 170 all out in reply, as 14 wickets fell on Day Two. Sherwin Peters, who took three wickets in the hosts' innings, topscored with 44, while the damage was done by pacer Miguel Cummins (4-18) and offspinner Ashley Nurse (5-65). They will find out today whether Barbados has decided to enforce the follow-on.

Following on at Kensington Oval, the Leewards only did marginally better in their second innings, bowled out for 198 by spinners Suleimann Benn (4-50) and Ashley Nurse (3-67). Orlando Peters (59) and Jacques Taylor (52) were the only batsmen to offer any resistance, as Barbados won by ten wickets within three days.

Defending champions Guyana enter the final day of their top-of-the-table clash with Jamaica at Sabina Park in a commanding position, having set the hosts an unlikely target of 326. Young opening batsman Tagenarine Chanderpaul hit 81 to lead the visitors to 282 all out, legspinner Damion Jacobs taking 4-78. Jamaica limped to 82-3 at the close of Day Three.

Whisper it softly, but there might actually be a draw at Beausejour. Yannick Ottley was stranded on 99 not out, while Yannick Cariah made 70, and Narsing Deonarine 60, to help Trinidad to 382 all out. Pacer Kevin McClean took 4-66 and offspinner Shane Shillingford 3-109. Trailing by 76 runs on first innings, the Windwards were two without loss at stumps.

Defending champions Guyana continued to dominate the PCL, with a convincing 117-run win over Jamaica at Sabina Park. Left-arm spinner Gudakesh Moti-Kanhai took 6-33 to skittle Jamaica out for 208, Devon Thomas topscoring with 31.

Shock! Horror! There was a draw at Beausejour, only the second in this season's PCL, at the halfway stage of the competition. Facing a first innings deficit of 76, the Windwards crawled to 198-8 at stumps, Devon Smith topscoring with 56. Pacer Marlon Richards and spinners Imran Khan, Akeal Hosein and Narsing Deonarine all took two wickets each for Trinidad.

Guyana increased their lead to 85 points at the top of the standings, followed by Barbados, second on a distant 63. Jamaica are third on 53, followed by Trinidad on 37, Windwards on 29, and the Leewards at the bottom on 13.

Here we go again....
A total of 14 wickets fell on the first day's play at North Sound, as Daron Cruickshank topscored with 51 in the Leewards pathetic score of 155 all out. They were bowled out by spinners Damion Jacobs (5-50) and Nikita Miller (4-63). In reply, Jamaica did little better, limping to 54-4 at stumps.

Low scores continued to be the order of the day at North Sound, where Jamaica limped to 158 all out, a lead of just three runs on first innings, thanks to a topscore of 37 from tailender Sheldon Cottrell. Burly offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall finished with 5-74. Montcin Hodge then hit 62 not out to guide the Leewards to 124-3 at stumps at the halfway stage of the match.

On the first day's play at Kensington Oval, Andre Fletcher hit 84 and Kavem Hodge 53, to take the Windwards to a total of 250, which represents a good score by the low standards of batting in the PCL. For Barbados, pacer Miguel Cummins took 5-47 and left-arm spinner Suliemann Benn 3-65.

At Providence, Vishal Singh hit 88 not out, but there was not much else, as Guyana reached 204-7 at stumps on their rain-affected first day's play. Pacer Marlon Richards has taken three wickets so far for Trinidad.

The Leewards are in the rarefied atmosphere of entering the fourth day of a match, actually in a winning position! Wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton hit 130 not out, and Montcin Hodge 72, as the home team made 368-8 declared at North Sound, against spinners Nikita Miller (4-107) and Damion Jacobs (3-100). Set an unlikely target of 366, Jamaica were struggling at 58-2 at stumps.

At the halfway stage of their match at Kensington Oval, Barbados lead by 22 runs on first innings, with eight wickets in hand. Kraigg Brathwaite made 117, while Shai Hope is 98 not out.

On the second day's play at Providence, Vishal Singh made 104 not out to guide Guyana to 237 all out. There were three wickets each for pacers Marlon Richards and Rayad Emrit, as well as offspinner Jon-Russ Jaggesar. Yannick Cariah hit 58 not out to lead Trinidad to 136-3 at stumps.

The Leewards had a rare experience yesterday...they finally won a match!
Chasing an unlikely target of 366 at North Sound, Jamaica were bowled out for 280 by the massively overweight offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall (7-131). Kirk Edwards made 93, but there was not much else to talk about.

On the third day at Kensington Oval, Shai Hope made 162, as Barbados declared on 450-5, Shane Shillingford and Johnson Charles taking two wickets each. Trailing by 200 on first innings, the Windwards were teetering on 134-7 at stumps, Roston Chase taking three wickets and Suleimann Benn two to date.

On the penultimate day at Providence, 11 wickets fell, as Trinidad collapsed from an overnight 136-3 to be 179 all out. Yannick Cariah topscored with 68, while the damage was done by spin twins Veerasammy Permaul (5-65) and Dev Bishoo (3-48). Leading by 58 runs on first innings, Guyana then closed on 244-4, captain Leon Johnson hitting 111 not out, while spinner Jon-Russ Jaggesar had taken three wickets to date.

It didn't take long for Barbados to inflict a crushing win by an innings and 56 runs against the Windwards at Kensington Oval. Pacer Miguel Cummins took 3-42 and part-time spinner Roston Chase 3-19, as the Windwards were routed for 144 in their second innings.

At Providence, Guyana declared on their overnight 244-4, setting Trinidad a target of 303, which they were never in with a chance of reaching. Narsing Deonarine topscored with 57 as Trinidad were bowled out for 197 by left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul (4-45).

There were a pair of 56s from Shamarh Brooks and Kevin Stoute.

At Sabina Park, Jamaica limped to 197-6, on the back of a 66 from Kirk Edwards and 64 from recalled opener Shacaya Thomas. For Trinidad, spinners Jon Jaggesar and Imran Khan have taken three and two wickets respectively to date.

In their rain-affected match at St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, the Leewards reached 61-2 at stumps. The wicket-takers for the Windwards so far are Kevin McClean and Shane Shillingford.

At Kensington Oval, Barbados were in command at the halfway stage of the match. Leon Johnson topscored in Guyana's paltry score of 190, part-timer Roston Chase taking 5-27. Leading by 84 on first innings, Barbados were an additional 71-1 at stumps, having lost Kraigg Brathwaite for 33.

A total of 14 wickets fell on the second day at Sabina Park, where Jamaica secured a narrow 19-run lead on first innings. Spinners Imran Khan (4-73) and Jon Jaggesar (3-53) dismissed Jamaica for just 226, but at their turn at bat, Trinidad did even worse. Left-arm spinner Nikita Miller continued his domination of the bowling stakes, taking 7-69 to dismiss Trinidad for 206. Evin Lewis made 87, but there was nothing else of note.

In their rain-affected match in Charlotte Amelie, the Leewards were finally bowled out for 327, allrounder Rahkeem Cornwall making 97, and there were 40s for Nkrumah Bonner, Orlando Peters and Jahmar Hamilton. For the Windwards, medium-pacer Kyle Mayers took 5-83 and pacer Kevin McClean 3-56.
