Time to come out of hibernation.

Happy new season to all Hampshire fans.

Listening to the last session commentary now. 112/5 (effectively 112/6) so hope they can hang on for the draw.

I guess it was to be expected, huge disappointment when he hasn't even bowled a ball.

If we can't hold out for a draw, even his batting efforts when he got his injury will count for nothing.

Game looks pretty safe thankfully.

8 overs left, 14 runs ahead, and 5(4) wickets in hand.

Could have won that one if not for the weather.

Could have but probably wouldn't have. Pretty much behind from the third over on day one. Big toss not to (have the chance to) win!

I think we still need a fourth wicket before lunch to make this our morning. If you're going to choose to bowl first, then three wickets before lunch should be a minimum.

If only Fidel hadn't dropped Lyth c&b, otherwise we would have four.

Good to see Wood getting amongst the wickets. He really has to take his chance whilst Berg and Topley are injured. Given his ability with the bat, he would be such an asset to our four day team if he could take his bowling on a level.

Plus Tommo's in the latter stages of his career, so Wood is the obvious guy to potentially fill his seat over the next decade.

Safe to say that this game is going as expected. I haven't even got the heart to hope that we can drag it to a fourth day.

Just game two of the season, and already Jimmy, Dawson, Ervine, Berg, Wood and Topley have picked up injuries.

Decent enough start to the third day with the Vince hundred. Big partnerships are the order of the day. The weather is okay, Yorkshire have shown the pitch is OK, although their bowling attack is better than ours.

Big partnerships have indeed taken us past the follow on target, and one advantage of having Wood in the side instead of Topley.
