Might as well start up the Kent thread again after the news we're signing Rabada on a short term deal.

Be interesting to see how he copes with a cold damp April in England.

Better in Canterbury than he would have in Ch-le-St that's for sure

Thanks Dan. Good to read about one of my old haunts, and have a soft spot for the St Lawrence Ground.

Don't think Rabada would have joined Durham after publically declaring he doesn't like Ben Stokes.

Durham will never get an overseas signing if they have to discount eveyone who doesn't like Ben Stokes. :horse

Why do so many people dislike Ben Stokes? I must be missing something.

Rabada's actually joining in June. Will play 6 T20s, 2 50 over and 1 Championship match.

So a maximum of 44 overs of white ball cricket + 1 championship game. Wonder how much that costs?

Seems it might be 2 Championship games now. Cheap apparently.

Maybe not enough of one format to help that much towards a trophy/promotion?

Good to make a connection, in case he ever looks to come back.

not sure that counties do much of that anymore... or players either

the days of overseas players attaching themselves to one county seem to be long gone
