I read earlier in the week that Bairstow and Willey would be released, but they weren't in the squad on the Yorks website, which made me wonder. The squad above look very weak, and it'd have to be a very good day for that side to give Surrey much concern.

Bairstow is playing, Willey isn't and Surrey appear to have 4 keepers (2 current and 2 ex) in their side!
Sports broadcasting media nut miscast as a hard-working family man. Or should that be the other way around?

Bairstow's in, but not Willey. This is a very ordinary Yorks team, and not really expecting much today. They're bowling first though, and the best chance lies in taking wickets in the first ten overs.

One more early wicket away from this game possibly being over already. Shame, I was looking forward to a good game.

Someone has high standards. It's an excellent looking top six. I can tell you that many counties would happily trade.

Getting Sanga early may level the game up a little.

The return of Brooks from injury seems to have geed up all the Yorkshire bowlers.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Surrey recovering well. Hopefully keep them down to 220. Yorks have been quite dependent on Adam Lyth in this competition this year, and across the formats, the specialist batting has been very unreliable. And dropping back in England batters hasn't been a panacea recently.

Currently I see Bresnan in my FL team bowling to Davies in my FL team.

Yorkshire's top six is irrelevant. It's their late middle order and tail that invariably gets their runs.

The top six being irrelevant is the problem. Of the lower order bats, Rashid and Plunkett are now missing. But I'm content with Sangakkara being out, it makes this seem more of a contest.

Rob Key has an inbuilt moan in his voice and he uses it to moan frequently, today it's his antipathy to fancy dress.

A strike for home town tyro Matthew Waite in his third list A game, and his first wicket. Just about holding on.

Lyth is averaging 54, with two 100s. Ballance is averaging 45. Leaning is averaging 38, with one 100. Bresnan is averaging 59, with two 90s. Bairstow would no doubt be right up there, had he not been on England duty.

Lees is having a lean time of it, fair enough.
