Sorry,it was a tongue in cheek comment, more relevant to the CC.

Leaning got all his runs in one go, and has struggled badly as well in the CC. Ballance isn't too bad in this format, but has done badly overall (if everyone is available, I'm not sure he should be in the side, and his slow scoring rate can be counterproductive). Tim has been great, but too much is expected of him at six. Bairstow is one of the best in the country, but Yorks' returning England players have been offering less in the late season. Lees is averaging about 15. As I said, Lyth has been doing well. The late runs of Rashid and Plunkett aren't there. But if I'd been offered this line up vs Sanga failing, I might have taken it- there's always the chance Yorks' bowlers will keep them in the game, even if the wickets of Plunkett, and the advantage of Rashid operating with Rafiq aren't there.

255 suggests the bowlers have done a decent job though.

Yes they have led by the young lad Waite. The Surrey bowlers will have to be on their metal to defend that total.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Looks like once more the top order won't be winning the game.

Surry's bowling uit that's been at the centre of their rise in the Championship is, barring a miracle, carrying them though to a Lords final.

Still a chance Yorkshire's lower order will save them again. But Surrey should win from here.

That miracle looks a possibility at the moment. These young Surrey bowlers are getting over excited and not using their brains.

Deserved win for Surrey but Bresnan with Waite and Rhodes gave them a fright. Some players don't deserve to be on the losing side and today it was Bresnan who seems to have improved with age.

Didn't really expect Yorkshire to win that, as key players who got them this far weren't playing. Good run to get to the semi after such a poor start to the season. Better team won.

Sat right behind the bowlers arm at Edgbaston today, there's less than 2,000 here at the minute...

Hoping for a great game.

Great start for Warks! And a nice day too.

Watching Trott, Hain and Bell score runs. What could be better.

Bell could do with getting that SR up above 100 in the last ten.
