Isn't Hannon-Dalby a certainty ian his bowling of late has been excellent. Is Ambrose fit again?

Surrey must be hot favourites with their line up, Two of Hain, Trott or Bell must perform outstandingly well if we are going to compete.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Hoping Ambrose is fit.

OHD likely to play, just included Josh in case it's a turning wicket.

BBC weather shows a heavy cloudy day tomorrow so Surrey's pace attack of the Curran brothers, Meaker and Dernbach will enjoy the conditions.

I suspected that Ansari probably came from a wealthy Asian family now listening to his posh voice I suspect he went to Eton or some similar establishment. Quite different from the broad northern tones of Batty.

Hussain on sky is talking so much rubbish, Woakes didn't come home from a disappointing SA tour and remodel his action and work on increasing his speed and he's not a 90mph bowler. Mark Wood and Plunkett are 90mph bowlers, Woakes is fast enough.

Rob Key arguing on commentary again, he argues with every co-commentator on a regular basis. Must have been a joy to be with in the team dressing room.

He did all that before the SA series.

Time to start these a bit later- midday? Often seems the team to bat first don't get many.

What a terrible decision by the umpire Robinson, the most plumb LBW you will ever see. Then next ball for 6. Anyway Woakes gets the last wicket.

Which is why I am more than a little surprised that the choose to bat first. Very strange decision.

But in relation to your first point, I think I'm right in recalling that they started the Somerset-Surrey final one hour or so later a few years back (2011 or 2013, can't remember which) for this reason. But it lead to hardly anyone being left in the ground come the end of the game.

Winning this game would seem rather easy but Hain, Trott and Bell have been struggling in the CC recently and although in this format they have good form I'll believe a win when they need 20 to win with 8 wickets in hand. Surrey had batsmen occupying the top 3 places in the averages and look what they managed. The turn Patel was getting at the end suggests we'll see Batty and Ansari very early in this innings.

Maybe if they turned back the clock and Warks batted at the same start time. With no scoreboard pressure, and their batting line up, they should chase this 10/10.

If Warks don't get this, I'll present MOTD in my pants (if they let me).
