As an overseas player Patel must be up there with past legends such as Wasim Akram and Viv Richards.

All over, including the shouting. Well done Warks. Congrats to the supporters. Good luck in the final.

He's very special that's for sure. I'm pleased for Bell that he played such an important part today. Mind you It's the CC stupid.

This innings might inspire him in the Championship.

We were a bit concerned when Hildreth and Davies were together, but Jeets got us home in the end :)

No chance of ticket for the final though, as I will be on holiday :rasta

I guess ian that you at the game were on the edge of your seats as I was, until the last ball was bowled.

With 20-20 hindsight, seems a poor decision to have not played Jack Leach.

I caught the end of the highlights yesterday evening.

I understand Patel got five lbw decisions. If they were all as poor a decision as the one given against Davies then it was very fortuitous. Rob Bailey is a terrible umpire.

It's easy to forget the punt the Bears took on Patel when he first joined. He had a bowling average of 40 odd back then and hardly a decent batting average either. He's turned into the best overseas signing of the last decade.

Not sure what the pitch will be for tomorrow, but Warwickshire likely to field something like:

Hain
Trott
Bell
Evans
Ambrose
Clarke
Javid
Woakes
Patel
Wright
Poysden or Hannon-Dalby

Isn't Hannon-Dalby a certainty ian his bowling of late has been excellent. Is Ambrose fit again?

Surrey must be hot favourites with their line up, Two of Hain, Trott or Bell must perform outstandingly well if we are going to compete.
