Surely they are not going to give him a lengthy international ban in addition to the games he'll already have missed. Even a harsh punishment of , say , a 5 test ban and several ODI's will have been served if the disciplinary process took part immediately after this tour - and in all likelihood it won't.
I'd have thought any ban would be backdated and include the games he's already missed.

Lord Patel was elected to ECB as "equalities" representative yet he appears to be advocating that Stokes be treated more severely for his alleged misdemeanor than an ordinary member of the public would be for the same offence. Not much equality there, my Lord.

Yep and isn't he also interfering with the CPS process by suggesting Stokes is guilty of something serious? I thought the whole point of delaying the disciplinary action was to avoid making any judgments whilst the legal process was ongoing.
Seems to be another example of FTECB making up things as they go along.

BBC test match special reporting Ben Stokes has a No Objection Certificate and is free to enter the IPL auction.

The plot thickens
"Stats are there to be broken" Dominic Cork
"They took all our players away, banned our captain and we still came away with a ten-wicket victory" Jason Gillespie
"You won't get anywhere slouching about half out of bed" Geoffrey Boycott

According to Ather's CPS have a target of 28 working days of reaching a decision on whether to prosecute; 12th Jan. is therefore the deadline date.

The England U19 squad includes Liam Banks, who crapinfo informs me plays for Durham. It's a new name on me, tbh, and his only 2 FC matches were for Warks last Sept. Anybody know better than me?

And Nick Hoult in The Telegraph suggests the decision is coming this week. No doubt once it eventually does come FTECB will deal with it in their usual professional and decisive manner!
