Seems as if the speculation about Stokes getting the all clear from the police this week may have been wide of the mark-no real feeling now that a decision is imminent.
I don't know anything about the usual timeframe for investigations of this sort but it does seem to be taking a ridiculous amount of time to make a decision. I wonder if the police are deliberately dragging things out so they can't be accused of giving him special treatment!

That should be an interesting game. Credit where it's due - at least the club are providing some good reports of how our players are getting on.
Let's hope Woody doesn't get injured!

They're giving him special treatment already. This case would have been dismissed already if it had involved Joe Bloggs. Several cases like this every weekend in every city and assailant dismissed with at most a caution.

Yep. It is infuriating how long it's taking, I thought he would be in the clear as soon as the two gay men he was defending came forward to corroborate his story. They said they regarded him as a hero for stepping in.

Pretty impressive bowling figures by Rimmington. 29 wkts at 14.8 in 9 matches in Grade A cricket which is generally accepted as higher standard than CC 2nd XI.

Yes. I think he will be a useful addition , I'm still not convinced he'll be the strike bowler we need but hopefully we can make at least a couple more signings before the season starts.

We're not the only county looking for a strike bowler but there are plenty available according to Kent CEO Mr Clifford : “Seam bowling is top of the list (of priorities). There’s a long list (of potential targets), which includes domestic players, overseas players and Kolpaks".

Durham tweet. We have an exciting reveal coming up in the next hour!

Accompanied by Port of Tyne logo so presumably an extension of the sponsorship deal.

Sounds like it and would certainly fit in with their habit of trailing 'exciting' news that turns out to be anything but!

Well we can't say they're not predictable.
