LittleMix was a sell out within days and Rod Stewart also sold out.
A guaranteed white ball international annually is also a financial bonus given that “The system of allocating games has changed, so it's relatively risk-free and we have no concerns about staging major matches.”

Good to see this.

Some of the figures are a bit eye-watering but put in perspective...a drop in the ocean compared to the £1.1billion deal FTECB have just trousered for TV rights.

They could at least reinstate our test match status.

Not so sure I want test match status. Unless we get the Aussies in high summer,of which we've got no chance, then I can't see us making much, if any, money. One white ball international each year is the most we can sell.

Coughlin named T20 captain. Bold move and not one I'd have taken because is a fast moving game the best environment for a rookie captain to learn his trade? If they're planning to rest Colly then fair enough but given our lack of resources I'm not sure we'll be able to.

Lewis says they're looking to try and sign a short term replacement for Latham and mentioned players participating in the CPL might fancy a few games here to prepare. As usual though he sounded a bit vague and mentioned money! It's not as if there's any urgency-first game isn't until Friday. :facepalm

Stoneman was missing for Surrey last night and again tonight-presumably injured as they had a very weak batting lineup last night. Borthwick is missing tonight and presumably has been dropped - scored a scratchy 16* down the order last night, did not bowl and dropped an easy catch. Don't think he's done much at all since his century early in the Championship season.

ain't that a shame!

I see all the signs are in place for the concert tomorrow night. I'll be keeping well away from that part of chester.

I wonder how much we stand to make from the deal... or even how the money works... standalone fee or percentage of the gate?

I'm not sure but suspect it is a standalone fee.

Standalone fee I'd imagine but all extras drinks ,refreshments, parking charges maybe would be ours.

Wood is having an odd season. He looks to be bowling well and quickly but took very few division 2 wickets for us and hasn't got many for England during the ODI or the tests so far.
Might just be having bad luck but if the wickets don't come soon questions will be asked.

Interesting news snippet in The Times today. Stokes is in a list of the 50 most marketable sportspeople in the world. He's at number 40 with Kohli number 5 but they are the only two cricketers in the top 50.
For comparison Rory McCilroy is 5 places ahead of Stokes. Anthony Joshua is number 1.

if he doesn't take wickets soon, he'll lose his place. TRJ is itching for a go

Dawson will lose his place to Woakes

Woody's USP is his pace, and without it England's attack would be very 'samey'

Yep. And the pace seems good so he must be fully fit. Hopefully it's just bad luck and he'll be due to get a stack of wickets.
If not he will add some threat to a pretty poor Durham attack!

Report on Twitter that Woakes will likely miss the full series so that might be good news for Wood when TRJ comes into the equation.
Holding on commentary mentioned that Woody is bowling with pace but for some reason is not getting any movement.
