the headline says 'shock news', but it isn't really. Notts have always used him as a back up bowler to cover injuries. Presumably Northants will use him as a front line bowler.... and he probably deserves to be. Useful with the bat too, which will stand him in really good stead when he plays Durham next year, who are partial to allowing the odd 8th, 9th and 10th wicket century stands

No, just a note on the county website that he is leaving. The BBC in and outs page has him as released but the word is not used on the county site or the Chronicle and Echo report.
